Visit the Sunsphere
The Sunsphere is a 266-foot tower with a gold-colored glass sphere at the top. Originally built for the 1982 World’s Fair, it now houses an observation deck on the 4th level. From there, you can see downtown Knoxville, the Tennessee River, the University of Tennessee, and the Smoky Mountains. The observation deck is free to the public.
